The backbone and driving force behind NISARGA, Dr. Jithesh is a thorough professional with close to two decades of medical experience. He made his mark through path-breaking treatment protocols formulated through meticulous research, observation and practice, for management and/or treatment of Diabetes mellitus and other chronic ailments. He has wide all-round expertise in wellness consultancy, with specific expertise in pain management, Diabetes mellitus and lifestyle diseases.
Dr. Jithesh hails from Kerala, and had completed his Medical education (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Dr. Jithesh heads the team of medical professionals at NISARGA, and under his caring guidance, NISARGA has developed many unique treatment practices combining the benefits of Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Physiotherapy and Ayurveda, for treating painful conditions.
He is a first place holder in Research paper presentation, during the International Yoga Conference held at Bangalore.
His expertise in the field of his interest has been recognised by medical bodies across the country and he had served as Senior Research Officer for the following two projects on Diabetes Mellitus under the Ministry of Ayush (Ministry of Health, India):
- Effect of Hot immersion bath Vs. Cold immersion bath in Pre-Diabetes, a randomised control trial; and
- Effect of Naturopathy intervention on Diabetes mellitus, a randomised control test.
Dr. Jithesh has authored several books on Naturopathy, Yoga and their effect on leading a holistically healthy life. Some of his books are “Enithu Prakruthi Chikitse”, “Prakruthi Chikitseyinda Paripoorna Arogya” and “Makkaligagi Yoga”. He is also a regular contributor of health articles to newspapers and other publications within Karnataka.
He is a prolific speaker on health related topics, and has delivered a number of health talks for organised groups like Government Officers, Teachers, Police personnel, Doctors and Health professionals as well as to the general public. He hosts various health programs in Kannada Kasturi, Praja TV and Dig Vijaya TV Channels.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Jithesh is well known for his social initiatives in and around Sirsi. He has lead the NISARGA team very successfully in setting up and operating more than 1000 Health camps in rural and urban areas of Karnataka, in their effort to reach out and render quality health services to the poor and needy sadhakas from economically and geographically diverse backgrounds.
