Dr. Praveen Jacob

Dr. Praveen Jacob’s life mission is to motivate, educate and inspire individuals and groups to choose the right kind of food habits and encourage more of them to indulge in physical activities for preventing life style related diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions and obesity by putting into practice the vast knowledge gathered through close to two decades of professional experience.

Dr. Jacob completed his medical education in the United States of America, after obtaining his Bachelors degree (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

In addition to being a Senior Consultant at NISARGA Hospital, Dr. Jacob is also;

Dr. Jacob specialises in the study of Dietary Lipids and Gut Microbiomes, and has published several papers in the subject. He is extensively consulted on Human Nutrition and the effect of food and feeding habits on well being. He has authored a book on Nutrition titled “Power Diet”.

Dr. Jacob works in collaboration with Indian Medical association, Dept of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka and other major social organizations such as, Indian Diabetic Association, Rotary Club, Lions Club, different Medical Colleges, Association of Teachers and other Social organisations. These platforms provide him with substantial opportunities to share latest research results on nutritional topics to health care practitioners across the country, and hence, he is widely recognized as a trainer and Speaker par excellence, in his chosen field of Nutrition.

He has planned and executed 25 health awareness seminars and more than 50 health education programmes at diverse locations. Having studied blood glucose level screening results during the course of these programmes, he came to the conclusion that a number of undiagnosed diabetic cases exceed diagnosed cases in India, and has styled a health Education Program for the general public wherein the below topics are included:
